Favela Doors
Photography Project
I was on a long production in Brazil and spent some time in the favelas (slums). The makeshift houses in those areas are pieced together with salvaged objects, materials and scrap. The various textural arrangements created these very expressive structures and entries which gave one a sense about who occupied them. They stood out to me– so I captured a series of them with my camera.
